Complete Morocco Active Adventure
Brace yourself for an unforgettable 17-day adventure that’ll have you exploring Morocco’s highlights and hidden gems like never before. Kick things off with the coastal charm of Tangier, then lace up your boots for hikes through the stunning Rif and Atlas Mountains. From there, head to Zagora for a magical desert camping experience under a sky full of stars. Get swept up in the bustling streets of Fés and wander the surreal blue alleyways of Chefchaouen. Along the way, you’ll meet local farmers, learn how to make fresh cheese in mountain villages, and ride camels through golden dunes as the sun rises over the desert. It's an epic, off-the-beaten-path journey that'll get your heart pumping and your senses buzzing – the ultimate way to dive deep into Morocco’s wild beauty.

Highlights
Learn about the deep history of the city of Tetouane on a walking tour of its most important landmarks, Hike through the stunning scenery of the Rif Mountains and participate in a goat cheese making activity with a local farming family, Wander through the gorgeous scenery of the famous ‘Blue City’ of Morocco on a walking tour with your CEO, Trek the scenic Oued El Kennar trail where you will encounter the Rif’s region’s most beautiful ravine, Indulge in a delicious lunch on the shores of a lake with a local family outside of Khenifra, Travel to some of Morocco’s unique locally favorite destinations like Icht and Tiznit for village tours and local market visits, Enjoy a cooking demonstration of Madfouna and Tajin wile in the desert of Zagora, Visit the historic ksar of Aït Ben Haddou along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech

Accomodation
On this trip you can expect to stay in local hotels or pensions (with the exception of the start and finish hotels, which are often larger city hotels), which will vary a little in standard and facilities: some may not have elevators, air-conditioning or English-speaking staff, but most importantly all are locally-run, with some traditional character, and in excellent central locations to give you maximum time for exploring the sights. Where a town has both an ancient medina and a "ville nouvelle" we generally stay in the ville nouvelle, both because the standard of hotels is higher, and because travellers (especially women) often find the medinas at night a little confronting. Please note that Morocco is a developing country and as such the infrastructure is not as reliable as you would expect at home. Expect quirky plumbing and the odd cold shower!

Group Leader
This G Adventures group trip is accompanied by one of our group leaders, otherwise known as a Chief Experience Officer (CEO). As the group coordinator and manager, the aim of the CEO is to take the hassle out of your travels and to help you have the best trip possible. You can expect them to have a broad general knowledge of Morocco, including historical, cultural, religious and social aspects. They will also offer suggestions for things to do and to see, recommend great local eating venues and introduce you to our local friends. We also use certified local city guides where we think more specific knowledge will add to the enjoyment of the places we are visiting - we think it's the best of both worlds.
